Now that I’ve decided Izzy is going to be a key character and strong feature in my project, there will be more upcoming posts featuring how she is doing, how she is developing as a character, her story and background and how I want her to make a difference now and beyond. Izzy can express and feel so many emotions, sometimes loads at the same time, so she will be ideal at showing how people with Asperger’s and Autism can feel so many emotions all in one go and how sometimes this can be good and bad. For example, if she’s put on the spot by a direct question and everybody turns to look at her, she can suddenly turn into a blobby alien from outer space! Or if she’s feeling ecstatic, she will turn into a firework and soar through the air, high into the galaxy. Izzy is also interchangeable which means she can morph herself other living beings e.g a blob, monster, dollop of paint etc. In my project, Izzy is going to show the positives and negatives of being Autistic and aim to raise awareness of the Autism Spectrum through visual interpretations, language and narrative, humour, storytelling, colour and role-play.Īll of these Izzy Inkdrops Drawings and Doodles are to help me to get a sense of how big an influence Izzy is going to be in my final year project and to me it looks like she is going to be the strongest, biggest, cheekiest and most influential character I have ever created a character made to make a difference which is exactly the angle I am aiming towards through my project. Yes, she is on the Autism Spectrum like Benny (the lightbulb character from a project last year) but Izzy expresses her feelings and emotions through her hair as well as her face her hair can change colour to match how she is feeling and when that emotion is particularly strong or overwhelming, it will leak, splash or shower raindrops. Print Technology: VSDT variable ink drop. Izzy is different to most of the characters I have created on previous occasions. Ink: CMYK + White, UV ink for Epson printhead Ink thermostat system.
